Redrawing old pictures is fun sometimes. As I keep on hinting, I'm working on a game at the moment (if I keep talking about it then it'll get jinxed and I'll never finish it, so I'm trying not to waffle on about it too much), but for a break I thought it would be fun to go back and redraw some of the art from one of my older games... so here it is.
At the top, you have the character select screen from the original Metal Mittens, circa 2001, blown up a bit since it was a measly 320x200 originally.
At the bottom, you have a sketchyrough version that I drew earlier. I suppose it would be more of a fair comparison if it were in colour, but hey. Not really patient enough with art right now, plus I'm tired. Since I'll have to make a polished looking character selectish screen eventually anyways, it'll probably happen one day.
I didn't draw this all in one big go... well, I did, but what I mean is that the characters are on separate sheets and cropped a bit, so I suppose I actually have 4 potential pictures here that I could work on, rather than just the one. Seems more manageable when I think about it that way...
